Muster – Formal Ribbon Day Gymkhana
Sunday 18 August, 9 am – 3 pm
This is our Brookfield Pony Club Formal Gymkhana, the second of our 2 competition ribbon days where riders win ribbons and earn points towards the end-of-year Group Trophies.
Horses must be clean and well groomed, with mane and tail plaited. Gear must also be clean. All riders should be in Formal Uniform. This is a long sleeved beige shirt, tie and tie pin, instead of the
informal polo shirt. A green pullover or sleeveless vest is optional. If you require a formal uniform please contact our uniform co-ordinator (Emma Tait at emmatait74@gmail.com).
We will need parents to help as group stewards, timers, etc, so please be prepared to assist on the day.
The programme will be: Presentation, Rider Class, Junior Handler, AM 7 Show Jumping, 3 games (Drum & Peg, Bending and Barrels) and Pairs of Riders (non-competitive). Ribbons will be awarded for each class, as well as prizes for overall group winners and placegetters.
Start practising the games at home!!! You can find copies of the games on the PCAQ website. Go to www.pcaq.asn.au, click on Resources, Rule Books, and select “Rules for Sporting & Formal Gymkhana – 2019” (http://www.pcaq.asn.au/Resources/RuleBooks.aspx).
