Hi BHPC riders,

I have attached the September 2023 newsletter to keep you informed about Pony Club activities. There is information about our August and September musters, Goodwill gymkhana, and upcoming BHPC and Zone 1 events. I welcome your photos and stories of your equestrian activities throughout the year to include in the newsletter. I hope you are all excited about riding at our Goodwill Gymkhana on Sunday 10 September and at our September muster on Sunday 17 September!!

Goodwill gymkhana: Sunday 10 September

It will be a fun, informal day with riders in their informal Summer uniform (polo shirt) and no plaiting required. Events will be rider class, 6 games (Barrel race, Maroochy Bend, Bounce Pony, Drum & Peg, Scuddo Ho, In & Out the Paddock) and Top Score show jumping. It would be great to have a big team of BHPC riders, young and adult, competing on the day for ribbons, prizes and the Goodwill Club trophy. To assist with organising the day, please let Sandy know if you are coming or not coming to the Goodwill gymkhana by 5 pm Tuesday 5 September. September Muster: Sunday 17 September – Informal uniform

8 am Start – 2 pm Finish (approximately) – We will start with a line-up on the Showgrounds at 8 am before breaking into groups for the different activities, including dressage, cross country jumping with guest coach Sarah Drane, target challenge and games. Our usual adult rider lesson before the muster will start at 7 am in the long yard.

All riders, please let Sandy know if you are coming or not coming to the muster by 5 pm Monday 11 September – email chiefinstructor@brookfieldponyclub.org.au or text 0400 952 002. A timetable and Jotform for pre-ordering of food for lunch will also be provided prior to the muter.

Rules and regulations

Health Declarations – For the Goodwill gymkhana and September muster, please fill out your paper Horse and Participant Health Declaration form or online Jotform on Sunday morning to confirm your health and your horse’s health on that day. Hendra Virus – As per our BHPC bylaws, no horse is to be brought to a BHPC muster unless its Hendra vaccination certificate has been provided.
